Women’s Golf Team Mentors CPS Scholars

Eight Upper School Students Matched with Harvard Undergrad Team

This fall, eight members of Harvard University's women's golf team tutored students at CSV's Learning Centers at Putnam Ave Upper School and Rindge Ave Upper School. The weekly tutoring sessions through CSV  were a hit with students and volunteers alike. Team member Bridget Ma, pictured here with her student match, said "Working with N. has truly helped me become better at explaining concepts with logic and clarity. It has been a blast getting to know him!"  We extend a sincere thanks to our fantastic golf team tutors for their service this year!

The team's schedule means they are not able to continue throughout the year. All five CSV Learning Centers currently have openings for volunteer tutors for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders. Individual volunteers as well as athletic teams and workplace groups are welcome to inquire about volunteering this spring in these roles. Email Analía Ivanier, aivanier@cpsd.us.
