CRLS food pantry needs your help! CSV is asking our volunteers, especially CRLS volunteers, to consider bringing non-perishable items (listed below) to the CRLS Main Office when you come to tutor.
Last year CRLS opened a food pantry in response to the growing need of its most vulnerable students. For many students, their main source of nutrition is the school food service program. The food pantry helps supplement evening and weekend meals. The CRLS Food pantry is called the Falcon’s Market and currently services 50 students a week.
Here’s a list of non-perishable items currently needed in the pantry:
Personal Items: Toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, men and women’s deodorant, laundry detergent
Breakfast items: Cereal, Granola Bars, Nutrigrain Bars, Maple syrup, pancake mix
Lunch items: Macaroni & Cheese, Pasta, Spaghetti sauce, Rice, Tuna fish, Peanut butter, Jelly, Dried or canned black beans, kidney beans, lentils and chick peas, Shelf stable/UHT milk, Vegetable oil, olive oil, Cake mix/frosting/candles (given to students on birthdays only)
