Budding Artist Megan Shows Off her Winning Holiday Card

Congrats to Megan, a sixth-grader at the Rindge Avenue Upper School, proudly holding her winning entry in this year’s Cambridge Systematics Holiday Card Contest! The Cambridge corporation initiated the design contest several years ago and has partnered with sixth graders for 13 years in the NetPals program coordinated by CSV. NetPals is a mentoring project that links students and adult mentors via weekly e-mail communication.

Megan’s winning design has been digitally animated with skating penguins gliding on the pond, a blimp gently floating across the sky, and snowflakes falling.  The card was then sent to several thousand Cambridge Systematics clients worldwide. Congrats to five additional sixth graders (Anna, Isabella, Keenan, Tam and Vera), who were “runners-up” in the contest, each receiving a small gift from Cambridge Systematics.

Cambridge School Volunteers appreciates its corporate partners and will feature more stories about its volunteer mentors in upcoming blogs. Stay tuned!
